You get the upload, not a copy of it
geterome does not transcode. The MP4 that lands in your downloads folder is byte for byte the file the uploader sent to Erome, at the resolution and bitrate they chose. Nothing is resized, re-compressed, or watermarked on the way through.
That is also why there is no quality menu. The source holds one file per video, so offering a choice of resolutions would mean re-encoding, which makes the file worse rather than usefully smaller.
Why saving straight from Erome fails
Right-clicking a video on erome.com and choosing Save video as usually gives an error or a zero-byte file. The video host checks which page a request came from and refuses anything that did not come from its own pages, so the browser is turned away the moment it asks directly.

Downloads support ranges, so a browser that loses its connection halfway through a large video resumes from where it stopped instead of starting the file again. Links stay valid for about an hour; if one expires, reload the album for fresh ones.
