Is geterome free?
Yes. There is no account, no sign-up, and no download limit. Paste a link and save the files.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in your browser on desktop and mobile. There is no extension and no app to install.
What quality do I get?
The original file, exactly as it was uploaded. Nothing is re-encoded, resized, or watermarked. The Erome Video Downloader page explains why there is no quality menu.
Can I download a whole album at once?
Yes. Every album has a Download all button that streams the entire album to you as a single ZIP, uncompressed so it starts instantly.
Why does the file size show before I download?
geterome asks the source for each file size while it reads the album, so you can see what a download will cost you before starting it. That matters on mobile data.
Does geterome store the files I download?
No. Files stream straight through from the original host to your browser and are never written to disk here. What the source host sees, and what it does not, is covered in does Erome know when you download.
What is the Follow feature?
Follow a creator and geterome checks their page periodically for new albums. New ones appear in a private RSS feed at a random address only you know.
Can I download private albums?
No. geterome only reads what is already publicly visible.
Why did my download fail?
Download links expire about an hour after an album is loaded. Reload the album to get fresh links. The troubleshooting guide covers the four other causes.
Is it legal to use this?
The tool only retrieves publicly available files. What you may do with a file depends on its copyright and on the law where you live. You are responsible for what you download. What a tool in this category should and should not ask of you is covered in is it safe to use an Erome downloader.
