How to Download Erome Videos on iPhone and Android

Most guides for this tell you to install something. You do not need to. The part that actually trips people up on a phone is not getting the file, it is knowing where it went afterwards, and what happens when the signal drops halfway through a 300 MB video.

The short version

1. Copy the album address. In the Erome app view or mobile site, use the share control and pick Copy Link. If you are in a browser, tapping the address bar and holding gives you Copy.
2. Paste it into the box on the home page. Any address with /a/ in it works. A bare username works too, and gives you that person's albums instead.
3. Tap the download button beside a file. Or use Download all if you want the whole album as one ZIP.

Where the file goes on iPhone

Safari on iOS does not put media into Photos automatically. It goes to the Downloads folder inside the Files app, under On My iPhone. A video stays there until you move it.

To get a video into your camera roll, open Files, find it under Downloads, tap Share, then Save Video. That last step is the one people miss, and it is why the usual complaint is that the download "did not work" when the file is sitting in Files the whole time.

If you use Chrome on iOS instead, the same thing applies: Chrome hands the file to the system downloader, and it lands in Files.

Where the file goes on Android

Chrome on Android puts it in the Download folder, and the notification shade gives you a direct tap to open it. Most gallery apps index that folder on their own, so videos usually turn up in your gallery within a minute or two without you doing anything.

If a video does not appear in your gallery, it is almost always because the gallery app has not rescanned yet, not because the file is missing. Any file manager will show it under Download.

A dropped connection does not mean starting over

This is the part worth knowing. Downloads here support range requests, which is the technical way of saying the transfer can pick up from the byte it stopped at instead of restarting from zero.

In practice: if you lose signal in a tunnel at 240 MB of a 300 MB video, your browser's download manager can resume and pull only the remaining 60 MB. Chrome on Android exposes this as a Resume button in the Downloads list. Safari on iOS retries on its own when the network returns.

What breaks resume is closing the browser entirely, or the link expiring while you were disconnected. If resume fails, reload the album to get a fresh link and start again.

Check the size before you tap

Every file is listed with its size before you download anything. On a phone that is not a nicety. A single album can hold a 400 MB video that looks identical to a 3 MB one in a grid of thumbnails, and on a metered plan the difference is the whole point. If you are on mobile data and an album is large, download the individual files you want rather than the whole album as a ZIP. A ZIP is all or nothing: you cannot stop it halfway and keep what arrived.

Why there is no app

An app for this would need to do exactly what the website already does, plus ask for storage permissions, plus get past app store rules that this category does not pass. The browser already has a download manager, a resume mechanism, and a place to put files. Adding an app would take away the resume behaviour, not add to it.
